The Future of Ecotourism Just Walked Through Our Gates
At Kamoka Camp, growth has always been intentional. Our mission has always been clear. Responsible tourism isn’t just a buzzword. Instead, it is a way of life. Moreover, every decision reflects our commitment to sustainable travel. Today, therefore, we share a new chapter.

A New Chapter for Kamoka Bush Camp
First of all, meet Maia and Lucas. They recently joined Kamoka Bush Camp as marketing interns and are both second-year marketing students from France. Bringing fresh perspectives and creative energy, they are already fully immersed in the Kamoka adventure and share a genuine passion for ecotourism in South Africa.
More Than Just an Internship
However, their arrival goes beyond a simple internship. In fact, a shared belief brought them here. Specifically, the belief that responsible travel can be a force for good. They believe that eco-friendly tiny houses in the South African bush can help shape a different kind of tourism, especially through Kamoka’s close partnership with DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage. This vision is what drives their motivation and enthusiasm for the project.
At Kamoka, therefore, we don’t take it for granted.
What They Will Be Working On
So, what does their mission look like ? Overall, their goals are grounded and ambitious.
- Improving Our Digital Presence
First, they will improve our website and user experience. As a result, travellers will find Kamoka Bush Camp more easily online. Second, they will grow our social media presence. In doing so, they will bring the stories of the Limpopo bush to a wider audience.
- Building New Partnerships
Third, they will identify new partnership opportunities. Specifically, they will connect Kamoka with travel agencies and organisations. Furthermore, these partners will share our vision for sustainable tourism in South Africa. Together, therefore, these efforts reflect our commitment to lasting impact.
Why It Matters for Responsible Travel
At its core, Kamoka Camp is more than an eco-lodge. It is a project built on the belief that travel should leave a positive impact. Rooted in the landscapes of Limpopo and closely connected to the work of DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage, Kamoka combines nature, conservation and meaningful travel experiences.
A Movement That Needs Believers
That vision needs people who truly believe in it, and Maia and Lucas are a great example of this new generation. They understand that tourism can combine business with positive impact, and they are eager to contribute in a meaningful way through their work at Kamoka Camp.
Growing Together Towards Sustainable Tourism
Ultimately, this is what Kamoka Camp has always been about. Growing with purpose. Building something meaningful.
A Shared Vision for the Future
We continue to grow alongside our guests, our partners at DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage, and the local community. Today, Maia and Lucas become part of that adventure, bringing their motivation, creativity and fresh perspective to the journey. Maia and Lucas — the bush is ready for you, and so are we.
